2026年5月20日，我随市确认局离退休干部员工一瞥三十多东说念主冒雨前去位于惠东县九龙峰旅游区的谭公祖庙游览。

The charming scenery of Zu Temple， a delightful exploration of the Nine Dragons Peak

On May 20， 2026，I followed a group of more than thirty retired officials from the Huizhou Education Bureau to visit the Temple of Tan Gong， located in the Jiulongfeng Tourist Area in Huidong County.

The bus pulled into the parking lot of Tan Gongzhu Temple in the Jiulong Peak area. As everyone got off the bus， they quickly opened their umbrellas to shield themselves from the heavy rain. Walking through the puddles of Rain Water， they made their way into the scenic area， visited the Tan Gongzhu Temple， and then climbed the stairs to the “Wenwu Palace” located on the hillside. After about half an hour， the rain stopped， and some officials took photos in front of the grand entrance hall of the Jiulong Peak Tan Gongzhu Temple.

Hui Dong Jiulong Peak is located in the western section of the Lotus Mountain Range in Huidong County， Huizhou City， Guangdong Province. The main peak stands at an elevation of approximately 563 meters. It is said that nine dragons ascended to the ridge and settled there， forming nine dragon-shaped ridges， hence the name “Jiulong Peak.” It is a renowned site for prayer and tourism in the area and falls under the jurisdiction of the Jiulong Peak Tourist Area.

The Temple of Tan Gong， located on the Jiulong Peak， was first built in the ninth year of the Xuande era of the Ming Dynasty (1434). It has a history of nearly 600 years and was constructed to commemorate Tan De (Tan Gong)， a legendary figure from the Yuan Dynasty.

It is reported that the Tan Gong Zu Temple on the Jiulong Peak in Huidong County holds a “Taiping Fu Jiao” ceremony every four years. The event lasts for seven days and eight nights， during which prayers are offered for good weather， national stability， peace for both humans and animals， and the removal of disasters and difficulties.

On this trip， i ascended to the Jiulong Peak in Huidong， visited the Temple of Tan Gong， and found the scenery to be serene and picturesque， with a strong sense of ancient culture. Walking through the area allowed me to feel the weight of history and also brought me inner peace. This journey profoundly enlightened us about the true meaning of respecting nature and striving to be kind and helpful.
